More Michigan Adventures

This past Sunday, Matt & I ventured to the west side of the state to Grand Rapids. We visited the Fredrik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park. The main point of our visit was the butterfly exhibit, which was amazing. We spotted many of the 40 species that were there.

And we picked a perfect day to go, because it was very spring-y outside. We walked and people watched and enjoyed the fresh air. The number of sculptures there is crazy! And look how huge this horse is. (Yes! That is Matt on the ground underneath the horse)

Wow, now that's a horse!! I love the proportions of these photos together: you make the hut look small (and you look tres cute there) and the horse makes your DBF look tiny :-)

Glad you made it to this side of the state! And, that you enjoyed the gardens. The Da Vinci horse is one of my favorite things over here - especially when there is a group of kids and they snicker and giggle over its large backside. Classic.

It looks like you had a great time. What kind of material was used to sculpt the horse?
